A clump-forming mayapple. Light pink upward-facing cup-shaped flowers bloom in early spring atop the emerging maroon-marbled leaves. In summer a brilliant red, egg-shaped seed pod forms under the umbrella like leaves

- Part shade, moist rich soil.
2-3-yr old plants in quart pots. May take 1-2 yrs to get to full blooming-size.
